SPANISH LESSON
“A fin de cuentas se produce un triángulo amoroso” Surely you have seen the balance of a company or some accounts in general. Probably you also noticed that at the end of those accounts always appears the conclusion (the summary) of how the balance is, whether positive or negative. “A fin de cuentas” therefore is a Spanish expression that has the meaning of a summary, a conclusion. It is synonymous with saying, “in short”.
Example of usage: ‘A final de cuentas no me diste el regalo’. (‘In short, you didn’t give me the present.’)
