SPANISH LESSON
“…La producción fue de maravilla y recibió elogios en gran cantidad …” “The film was wonderful and it received overwhelming praise.” As it happens in English, in Spanish there are expressions that have a very definite meaning, one of them is ‘ir de maravilla’. It means to be wonderful, delightfully, a blast.
Example: “Me fue de maravilla en la escuela, mis calificaciones fueron muy buenas”. (“I did great in school, my grades were very good.”)
