ECELA Latin Community Scholarships
The ECELA Latin Community Scholarships fund is available for students that demonstrate their dedication to serving the Spanish-speaking population of the United States.
Do you plan to study Medicine and want to learn Spanish to communicate to patients?
Perhaps you are a future teacher or guidance counselor that wants to be able to speak to Spanish-speaking parents?
Or a social worker who wants to be able to serve the 40+ million American residents with limited English?
Write to us about it! There is over $20,000 of scholarship money available to you!
To apply, you must submit a 500-word essay briefly describing your plan to study Spanish and serve this community in need. For more information, please contact your study abroad adviser or write to studyabroad@ecelaspanish.com.
Financial Aid
ECELA accepts financial aid. However, we do not disburse financial aid funds. Meaning, you must apply for federal financial aid through your homes institution and have the funds directed to ECELA. Many students study with ECELA using financial aid every year. You should check with your financial aid officer for details regarding applying for financial aid for a study abroad program. Generally, if you are able to receive academic credit through your home institution, then you should be able to apply for federal funds to cover your ECELA program.
