South America has so many jaw-droppingly beautiful landscapes that it’s hard to imagine taking a trip there without doing a bit of hiking, trekking, or backpacking. Patagonia, Macchu Picchu, and the Peruvian Amazon are popular sites to explore.
If you can spare a few days or weeks, traveling around South America and hitting some of the top hiking spots will be a memorable and rewarding experience. I recommend that you wait until after completing your Spanish courses, so that you can get in some good Spanish practice on the road!
