If you’re in Santiago between June and October, don’t neglect to get up into the mountains to ski, snowboard, or just sightsee. The following resorts have great ski conditions, plus fun winter activities for non-skiers.
Option #3- Termas de Chillan.
Another fantastic resort to check out is called Termas de Chillan. Here you will find the longest trail in the country as well as circuits for snowmobiles and dogsleds. Besides its amazing ski slopes, Termas de Chillan also contains a hot spring resort. After working hard at your Spanish school in Chile all week, you’ll love escaping to the hot springs for a relaxing soak.
Option #4- Ski Pucon
The Gran Hotel Pucon Resort and Club owns Ski Pucon. Various competitions are held at this resort, and it is known as a “snowboarding paradise.” At Ski Pucon, you can even ski on the side of a volcano. Hiking and snowmobiling are also offered.
No matter which of these resorts you select, you will undoubtedly have a memorable ski experience. Be sure to bring a camera, as the mountain vistas make for great snapshots. Also remember to practice your Spanish during your skiing or snowboarding adventure to make your trip a totally immersive experience.
