Located in the northern part of Chile overlooking Licancabur volcano. San Pedro de Atacama is a town which is not for the faint of heart.
The last census of this town registered just under 5000 people on the island. At an altitude of some 7900 feet, San Pedro de Atacama is the perfect window for a fast escape from reality on your tour of South America.

Maybe you will head up to check out some of the areas archaeological remnants. If you enjoy getting out there is always the ability for you to climb or just get out and walk as you feel on top of the world.

Come in and visit the adobe built Church of San Pedro or the R.P. Gustavo Le Paige Archaeological Museum with a healthy sampling of pottery and ceramics of generations past.
When we say that something is ‘no apto para cardíacos’, it can refer to a physical condition involving heart disease or a person fearful or fainthearted; the English version of this saying is ‘not for the faint of heart’
Let’s see some examples of the different usages:
When we say that something is not recommended for people with a heart condition: “Esta máquina para gimnasio no es apta para cardíacos”. (“This gym machine is unfit for people with heart problems.”)
We can use the same expression to speak about someone who is weak, or those who have not enough courage or are easily discouraged: “La película que vimos anoche era de miedo, no apta para cardíacos”: (The movie we saw last night was scary, faint hearted.”)
Or we can use it for both meanings at the same time: “La montaña rusa de ese parque no es apta para cardíacos”. (“The roller coaster of the park is not for the faint hearted.”)
