I immediately decided to participate. And that was the best decision I could have made.

Before I went to ECELA, I studied Spanish in the United States for a total of six years. Yet despite all that, I couldn’t speak fluently. In fact, I couldn’t even understand native Spanish speakers during higher level conversations.

Because of this I knew, without a doubt, that I had to go to abroad to learn to speak like a native. Consequently, when ECELA contacted me about their program in Buenos Aires, I immediately decided to participate. And that was the best decision I could have made.

The school offers a variety of courses with talented and friendly instructors. ECELA promises an experience of a lifetime.

The staff plans activities that allow you to come in contact with the nature and history of the country.

If you are interested in learning Spanish and experiencing the wonders of Peru, Cusco is the best place for you. In addition to getting personal attention in classes at ECELA and using materials designed to help you progress, the staff plans activities that allow you to come in contact with the nature and history of the country.

I really enjoyed my stay in Cusco and all the opportunities I had to learn Spanish and experience the beauty and tradition that is Peru. I also recommend choosing a homestay, it’s the best!!

Though I was only at the school for 6 weeks I found the experience thoroughly rewarding

When I arrived in Chile I did not speak any Spanish, or even know much about South American culture. The basics of the language were explained to me carefully and thoroughly with full support of the teaching staff. The lessons themselves were very fulfilling as they used real life scenarios and events to teach various aspects of vocabulary. However the program did not involve simple grammar and vocabulary learning as it was combined with learning the rich and varied culture of the South American people. Every fortnight there was a test procedure so I was able to rate my performance and check my progress whilst I was there.

The school ran many social activities outside of the classroom which encouraged us to interact with our fellow classmates and local people. This allowed me to apply my knowledge to the outside world with the assistance of staff. During my time there I took part in many of these extra-curricular activities and enjoyed every single one, feeling many of them to be an important part of the learning experience.

Though I was only at the school for 6 weeks I found the experience thoroughly rewarding and I would encourage others to take part in the course to broaden their language and cultural base. At the end of my time there I felt that I had the ability and confidence to interact with Spanish speaking people.

I’m really glad I chose to study in Vina becuase its close to the beach and the small classes are perfect for making close friends.

I truly enjoyed my experience at ECELA in Vina Del Mar. In only three weeks, my spanish improved more than I ever expected. The professors are very kind, accommodating, professional, and fun and the classes are informative and interactive.

They even offer extracyrriculars like empanada cooking classes and salsa dancing instruction. I’m really glad I chose to study in Vina becuase its close to the beach and the small classes are perfect for making close friends.

I have to thank Ecela for the unique experience I had

My experience as a volunteer with Ecela Viña was amazing. I love all animals, so there was nothing better for me than volunteering during my stay at Ecela Viña Del Mar. Helping the dogs at PAEC, rebuilding their kennel, feeding them, playing with them, grooming them, and most of all giving them love and care was more than just a job, it was an experience that helped me grow in many ways.

I have to thank Ecela for the unique experience I had, and also I’d like to thank Ernesto who helped me and taught me so much during this month of volunteering. Thank you so much for everything.

Going on one of these trips/programs is absolutely one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life.

Going on one of these trips is absolutely one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life. It’s better than just traveling or vacation because you actually gain some skills from it.

I’ve met about 200 people, ranging from 19-65 yrs old. There were students, pilots, dean’s of universities, teachers, VPs of companies, small business owners, lawyers, etc. from all over the world.

The relationships I’ve built are lifelong and we continue to keep in touch. Let’s just say you shouldn’t have a problem meeting people at the school. As for living arrangements, I would say if you’d like to immerse yourself into the Latin culture, then go with the homestay.

I learned more Spanish that I would in a year in Amsterdam.

Dear ECELA people: Thanks for everything! I had a fantastic time during the four weeks I spent at ECELA Spanish School in Santiago, Chile. I learned more Spanish that I would in a year in Amsterdam. It was the best vacation of my life, and I loved sharing this experience with so many special people.

Paz (Paz Gatica, the school’s Activities Coordinator): ¡vamos chicos!…Gracias y besos.

I never thought I’d be able to communicate so well in another language.

I’ve been a student at Ecela twice (2006-07 and 2011-12), and I can say that their teachers and classes are excellent. I never thought I’d be able to communicate so well in another language.

Now, I can converse with people in their own language in so many countries.

Beyond the classes, the school’s activities are a chance to learn the unique characteristics of each country.

At this school they realize that each student learns at his own pace – there’s no pressure or stress. Learning a language is a challenge, but there’s no reason why it can’t be fun.

For those students returning to Ecela, the discounts are fantastic.

It really was an unforgettable experience and I had a really great time

I was a student at ECELA Buenos Aires for 7 weeks so I could learn Spanish. What I can say is that it really was an unforgettable experience and I had a really great time.

The instructors are more than qualified, the staff is more than friendly, you can party with students from all over the world, and also they have a really interesting cultural program. In short, I absolutely recommend it!
