Hereby my some words about my homestay.
My homestay in Santiago was really great. I stayed with a nice family; dad, mom and 2 kids, who made me feel like a part of the family. They really made sure that I had a great time in Santiago and that I never felt alone. They helped me find my way in the city and the dad even did a ´practice´ walk to school with me the night before my first day!
For me, staying with a family was the best and fastest way to learn Spanish. Everyday you wake up with Spanish (my hostmom got me breakfast in bed everyday!) and if you came home after school there is always somebody to practice with. My family was always patient and helped me when i was struggling with spanish. Without this family, my experience in Santiago would have been good, but not so great as it has been!
