Learning a language requires living in a country. That way you not only learn the language but also the culture, that is to say you are living the culture. I was hoping that life in Argentina would be pleasant and from the moment I arrived that was the case. The best way to enjoy Argentina is to get into the rhythm of life there, the tranquility of the people and their own sense of time….
I thought is was very interesting that you can see a big difference between life in the capital and life in the interior of the country. The ECELA Schools are excellent…There are clear differences between a school day with the “porteƱos” in Buenos Aires and a day in Mendoza. There’s a lot of traffic, full subways, and an exciting life where there is always something to explore and very kind people who make a day in Buenos Aires an adventure….On the other hand you can enjoy a beautiful, peaceful atmosphere with high temperatures in Mendoza….The school there seemed like a big family and life in general let me rest from the hurried life of the capital (BA). If I were you I would always choose Argentina for my destination, for a different world in which to study Spanish.
