When I set foot in Cusco for the first time I understood what gringos say about Brazil: you feel WELCOME! On the first day of school I met all the students and we left together to celebrate Halloween night. All the teachers were always super careful and insisted on taking us to the fair where they sold fruit. They had all the patience in the world to understand each error that Brazilians typically commit. My homestay “father” was always caring and explaining the culture, cooking my favorite Peruvian food, giving advice of the best places to visit … But Peru is much more than all this affection and attention, it is a unique experience, being in a magical country, with a special people, that reminds you of your essence and brings you into contact with the best of humanity.

Quando eu pisei em Cusco pela primeira vez eu entendi o que tanto os gringos falam sobre o Brasil: se sentir BEM VINDO! No primeiro dia na escola já conheci todos os alunos e já saimos juntos para comemorar o Halloween à noite, todos os professores sempre super cuidadosos que faziam questão de levar a gente até a feira onde vendiam frutas, tinham toda a paciência do mundo para entender cada erro de portunhol que os brasileiros cometiam, o meu “pai” na homestay sempre cuidando, explicando a cultura, cozinhando as minhas comidas peruanas favoritas, dando conselhos dos melhores lugares para visitar…Mas o Peru é muito mais do que todo esse carinho e atenção, é uma experiência única, estar em um país mágico, com um povo especial, que te faz lembrar da sua essência e te poem em contato com o melhor do ser humano
