Hello, my name is Theresa Hanson and I was not supposed to come with my father and daughter on their trip to Chile, therefore I did not prepare for this trip. Upon arrival in Chile, I became very frustrated with my inability to communicate. Luckily, ECELA came to my rescue when a recent expat told me about the experience with the school. A quick email put things in motion and my daughter and I soon began classes. She took private classes and I with a group. It has taken us just a few weeks to become proficient enough in Spanish to be comfortable in our activities: sight-seeing, traveling via bus or metro, shopping or going out to eat. Many thanks to ECELA, and especially the teachers for coming to the rescue, it was an excellent experience.
