I was fortunate enough to have spent a month at the Ecela school in Viña del Mar, Chile. During my time at the school, not only did my Spanish improve dramatically, but I also made great friends, and was able to fully experience the culture of Chile. The intimate classes provided a safe environment for learning and the experienced teachers provided the necessary encouragement to get the most out of their students. The weekly cultural events, such as visiting wineries, going to museums, or taking harbor cruises, are very informative and enjoyable, and play an integral role in improving the use of the language. My experience in Chile was a very positive one, and I would highly recommend the Ecela schools for anyone looking to improve their Spanish.
