Last “ECELA Specifics” I mentioned after-school activities. Just what are those about, anyway?
After-school activities cover a wide variety of events. It could be something as simple as a club that meets weekly after school to discuss world events and the history of the city in which the school is located. It could also be something as involved as a day trip to another nearby city or monument, or it could even be a weekend away.
Here are some activities that you will find at almost every ECELA school.
- city tour (by bus or bike)
- cooking classes
- museum visits
- world events club
- horseback riding
- hiking trips
- farewell lunch (every week)
Here are some activities that are found at a few of our schools, but not every one.
- night city tours
- day trips to other cities, beach towns, skiing
- theater visits
- skiing/surfing/rappelling/sand boarding trips
- winery tours
- brewery tours
- zoo visits
- cultural events (seasonal)
- holiday parties
There are also many activities specific to the town in which you are studying, such as a visit to Machu Picchu from Cusco or Lima, or a Mancora weekend getaway. Have fun getting to know new cities, places, and experiencing a new culture!
