What about Food? ECELA Specifics

Obviously a large part of an area’s culture is its food. So, if you have been wondering about the cuisine and normal routines in South America, I encourage you to look at the posts under the category “Food & Drink”.

Meal times in South America are somewhat unique to the continent. Breakfast is generally after waking and before going to work, which is standard. Lunch is usually eaten after the noon hour and is followed by a siesta or break from work. Lunch is a large meal that can hold one over until dinnertime, which can be eaten as late as nine or ten in the evening.

When you study Spanish in South America, try out the meal times! You never know; you may find it is more enjoyable for you!
