Our school is located in a safe neighborhood in the heart of Viña del Mar and just a few blocks away from the beach. A typical day will not only include your scheduled Spanish courses, but also plenty of free time to spend with new friends. Grab a bite to eat, go on a shopping spree, or have a relaxing afternoon on the beach – however you spend your time away from the books, it’s hard to beat the warm rays of sunshine and the exciting nightlife of Viña del Mar.

Visit Valparaiso by Boat – Schedule a coastline boat tour for a fun experience that will give you a unique look at the Pacific coast and the port of Valparaiso. This port was once Chile’s most vital spot for importing and exporting. The coastline tour is a popular activity among visitors and locals alike as it provides a view of the city that is absolutely breathtaking.
Pablo Neruda’s La Sebastiana – Chilean Nobel Prize winning poet Pablo Neruda owned three houses in Chile. La Sebastiana is one of them and it’s open to the public for tours. Students can hike their way up to the house to experience phenomenal views of the harbor.
Learn to Cook Local Favorites – Traditional dishes like empanadas and sopapillas are staples in Chilean homes. Students can sign up for a cooking class and learn how to create these sweet pastries and tasty turnovers. Excursions Outside the City
Isla Negra Day Trip – Isla Negra is a coastal town and the location of yet another home of Chilean poet Pablo Neruda. The home was shared with his 3rd wife and constructed to look like a ship. This home is where the couple spent most of their time, and in fact, the home is also where they are now both buried. After your tour of the house, you can spend the rest of the day relaxing along the coast and bask under the beautiful Isla Negra sun.
Hike at La Campana National Park – A truly beautiful region, La Campana National Park is one of Chile’s most famous natural reserves and features the stunning Bell Mountain. If you make it to the summit on a clear day you can see both the Pacific Ocean and mount Aconcagua. From the lakes and streams to the waterfalls and rock formations, you’ll be exposed to a plethora of natural beauties during this outdoor adventure.
Casablanca Valley Wine Tours – Casablanca Valley is known around the world for its wine making. A tour of the vineyards in this area is a great way to sample locally made wines and learn more about the winemaking process.
